Ubitus Supports “Kōsaku Shima” Series with Its AI Generation Tool

Ubitus K.K. (hereafter Ubitus) provides its image generation AI technology for “Kōsaku Shima: Horse Racing Exploration Arc,” produced by Parsola (hereafter Parsola). This latest spin-off of the “Kōsaku Shima” series was created with the approval of the original author, Kenshi Hirokane, as part of the Japan Racing Association’s (JRA) 70th-anniversary project. Ubitus’s AI visual content creation tool, UbiArt, was used for the illustrations in this project.

UbiArt is an AI creation tool developed with cutting-edge generative AI technology. It features prompt optimization functions that simplify the expression of desired images. Users can generate images using natural language without complex prompt inputs. For this production, UbiArt’s style training function was utilized, allowing the AI to learn exclusively from images drawn by Hirokane. This enabled “Kōsaku Shima: Horse Racing Exploration Arc” to faithfully reproduce Hirokane’s artistic style.

Hirokane expressed interest in this new approach, which uses image generation AI without infringing on copyrights, and agreed to supervise the project. Parsola’s CEO, Katsu Miyake, commented, “We were able to create illustrations close to the original, including facial expressions. This project demonstrates new possibilities for manga production using generative AI.”
