Ubitus Launched FINAL FANTASY®XIII on Chromecast in Japan

Ubitus Inc., the worldwide leader for interactive cloud game-streaming technologies and services, today announced the launch of the legendary RPG masterpiece FINAL FANTASY®XIII Google Cast Edition, developed by SQUARE ENIX, on all Chromecast devices in Japan. This is the first of FINAL FANTASY RPG launched for Chromecast device.

FINAL FANTASY®XIII is the thirteenth installment in the FINAL FANTASY main series. The game has maintained a large fan base around the world driven by its graphical richness, sophisticated battle system, soundtrack and intriguing story. It brought Japanese RPGs into a wider international acceptance and popularity.

Users in Japan can now download the FINAL FANTASY®XIII Google Cast Edition app from the Apple Store for iOS or Google Play on their choice of Android devices without having to worry about the device’s performance or the app taking up too much space in their smartphones. The FINAL FANTASY®XIII Google Cast Edition app is supported by Ubitus’ GameCloud® solution. The Ubitus game streaming service delivers instant console like experience on demand. The FINAL FANTASY®XIII Google Cast Edition app running on the Ubitus game streaming service works seamlessly with Chromecast, Google’s easy-to-use dongle for streaming entertainment. Customers with Chromecast can cast their gameplay from smartphones to TV screens, using the smartphones or tablets as game controllers. Users will be amazed by the incredible gaming experience, streaming down via Chromecast through broadband connections from the cloud.

This launch comes with a time-limited discount offer for early-bird gamers to taste the flavor of the FINAL FANTASY masterpiece. During the promotional campaign period, the discount price for the first month is ¥1,400 Japanese yen (tax included). After the campaign the regular price will be ¥2,000 yen (tax included).
