In accordance with current regulatory requirements, insurance providers must assign non-sales personnel to conduct phone, video, or remote interviews with elderly customers purchasing certain life, health, or investment-linked insurance products. These interviews aim to confirm the customer’s understanding of policy details, potential risks, and associated implications, thereby mitigating mis-selling and subsequent disputes.

Through this collaboration, Nan Shan Life has adopted Ubitus’s proprietary voice recognition technology to automatically transcribe interview recordings into Mandarin Chinese. By integrating a batch-processing voice inspection system, the platform can systematically verify the completeness and accuracy of each response—replacing the traditionally labor-intensive manual review of over 20 interview questions per case. The system highlights only anomalous entries for human auditors to review, significantly increasing operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance assurance.
