AI VTuber Ubi-chan 2.0 Set to Debut: New Look with Enhanced Taiwanese Mandarin Accent

Ubi-chan, developed by Ubitus, is the first AI virtual influencer built on Taiwan’s Traditional Chinese large language model. Since her debut at the 2023 Tokyo Game Show, Ubi-chan has received numerous technical upgrades, enhancing her live streaming capabilities with multi-language interactions and collaboration with multiple expert AI features.

Recently, Ubi-chan partnered with AI voice technology company Master Tones to introduce her exclusive Taiwanese Mandarin accent. With a redesigned appearance and more expressive movements, Ubi-chan 2.0 will make her official debut during a YouTube live stream on September 20th. This upgrade aims to create a stronger connection with viewers, showcasing Ubi-chan as an even more vibrant and charming AI VTuber idol.

Enhances Ubi-chan 2.0 with Taiwanese Accent

The voice upgrade for Ubi-chan 2.0 was produced by Master Tones, a Taiwanese AI voice technology company founded in 2018. Using their proprietary technology, Master Tones accurately simulated intricate details of human speech, including timbre, intonation, and breathing patterns, with specific optimizations for Taiwanese Mandarin pronunciation. This results in a uniquely Taiwanese-accented voice for Ubi-chan.

Master Tones has also taken stringent measures to ensure AI voice copyright protection. All training data for Ubi-chan 2.0’s voice was independently recorded, eliminating any risk of future copyright disputes in AI voice generation.

Beyond the voice upgrade, Ubi-chan 2.0 showcases a completely refreshed appearance, along with new reactive movements and emotional expressions. These enhancements further develop the AI virtual character’s personality and charm.
